Board of Directors

 

CIRA and York Care Centre share the same Board of Directors which is made up of up to 15 volunteer members. The experience of directors includes private business, legal services, financial expertise, former senior government leaders, research, risk, and a number of additional skill sets.

Research & Ethics Committee

CIRA also has an internal Research and Ethics Committee (REC) who are responsible for reviewing and approving the research initiatives proposed by CIRA. The members include several board members, as well as individuals from the community. The goal of the REC is to ensure study appropriateness and safety for the residents of York Care Centre, and to provide advice and feedback on research proposals.
